Dave has been publishing pieces for the general public for the better part of 10 years, most notably in the genre of literary science humour. These non-academic pieces have been published at McSweeney’s, The Walrus, Maisonneuve, The Believer, and Seed Magazine to name a few. Dave currently blogs at popperfont.net, has numerous contributions at the Science Creative Quarterly, is a frequent contributor to the influential blog Boing Boing, and also used to write (with his friend and colleague Ben R. Cohen) at scienceblogs.com. He is currently (slowly) working on a book, tentatively titled “Be (Hypothetically) Better” and is represented by the Park Literary Group.
